During the period of June 1, through August 4th the Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office processed over 8,829 party changes.
The changes are broken down like this:
· 2,225 voters changed from one of 11 recognized parties in Florida to Democrat
· 4,786 voters changed from one of 11 recognized parties in Florida to Republican
· 1,624 voters changed from one of 22 recognized parties in Florida to ‘No Party Affiliation’
· The remaining 194 were minor party changes
