Representatives for the Lehigh Acres 7-Eleven #37936 made their case to the review board. CPH Inc. Engineers presented the project located at 1103 Leeland Heights Blvd W. The project is a proposed convenience store with 12 fueling facilities. The property is bounded by Homestead Road N., Leeland Heights W., Florida Road and Fillmore Avenue.
First time ever 24 residents were in attendance of the meeting.
7-11 will be a 24 hour operation scheduled to be completed by second quarter (spring) 2017.
As of the meeting no traffic study has been done and no application for this development has been presented to Lee County Staff for consideration.
The committee wanted to see drainage and traffic plans and the applicant did not have them done.
Their attorney, Charles Basinait said, where here to get approval for a special exemption from 8 pumps to 12 pumps, but their paperwork to the board stated it was for site project approval only.
Lehigh Acres Architectural, Planning & Zoning Review Board has denied the application for the 7-11 at the corner of Homestead Rd and Leeland Heights Blvd, due to the lack of documents.
These does not mean that the county will deny it.
