Update: One person is in custody following two residential burglaries that took place just before 6 a.m.

Lee County sheriff deputies are conducting an investigation in a neighborhood off Gunnery Road.
Numerous LCSO vehicles are stationed along the 700 block of Homer Avenue S. where deputies say two homes were broken into. And a second scene has been established on 7th Street SW.
There is a lot of blood on the roadway along with evidence markers and blood on one of the homes. Two people were taken to the hospital according to LCSO.
