During the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District’s monthly board meeting Fire Commissioner Larry Becker made the comment “I have 127 firefighter to worry about.” Then quickly corrected himself by adding “and the 100,000 residents of this district.” Seemingly, as an afterthought.
Now readers maybe ask yourselves why Fire Commissioner Larry Becker would such a comment and sadly the answer is all too clear when you look in the right places. Fire Commissioner Larry Becker and another Fire Commissioner David Adams have deep ties to the International Association of Fire Fighters local #1826 and Retire Fire Chief John Wayne.
The International Association of Fire Fighters local #1826 has given large sums of money to each of their past election campaigns. We also have sources in the International Association of Fire Fighters local #1826 saying that both Fire Commissioner Larry Becker and Fire Commissioner David Adams may have taking brides to get them to vote how the union wanted them too. But this is unconfirmed as to the writing of this article.
When asked to comment on this matter, both Fire Commissioner Larry Becker & Fire Commissioner David Adams refused to comment.
Now with this new round of elections we the taxpayers need to ask ourselves, where the money is coming from that each candidate is spending on their campaign and which candidate is only a mouth piece for the International Association of Fire Fighters local #1826?
We will continue to cover this story over this election cycle and keep you informed on the facts of where candidates are getting their money.
