The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the identity of the listed subject in an effort to not only apprehend him, but make the public aware of his modus operandi to further protect against victimization of our citizens.
Detective’s with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office are currently seeking the location of Jose Jimenez DOB 1-15-63. Jimenez has three active felony warrants and additional felony charges stemming from a theft scam.
Modus Operandi: Jimenez has been picking up/hiring day laborers at local labor pools telling the victims he has work for them to do. Once on the job site, Jimenez makes the victims leave their wallets, cell phones, and keys in his vehicle while he shows them the site. Jimenez then returns to the vehicle to retrieve something, however, he leaves the victims on the side of the road and steals their wallets and personal belongings.
Current charges: 2 active Felony Warrant’s for Failure to Appear on Grand Theft charges
1 active Felony Warrant for Violation of Probation
1 Open Booking Sheet for Grand Theft
