Stephen Paulsell, Stephen McInerny, James Tobin and Michael Choate were asked to come back for final interviews with the staff and Fire Commissioners on July 12 and 13
But there are the following issues:
1 – No public comment was allowed during a public meeting with the selection committee.
Why no comment, what is the fire department hiding now?
2 – Per the posted notice of the meeting no one can appeal any of the selection committee because NO verbatim recording was made by the fire district of this two day public meeting.

Other issues:
One of the Chief named above had so many complaints over his management style led some of his staff to leave that district and later some of them sued over the issues.
One Chief was criticized by former community members for promoting his then girlfriend to an asst. chief position with a hefty salary.
One Chief was removed for office by the town manager just these year.
One Chief had a text scandal with a female subordinate.
Doesn’t the residents and voters of Lehigh Acres deserve better?
Until the residents stand up with mass protest they will be treated as second class citizens by the establishment.
