As a result of an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip, the man accused of holding up a Lehigh Acres bridal store last week is now behind bars.
Late last night, detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office’s Robbery Unit arrested Dayton Long, DOB 6/18/80, on one count of armed robbery. Long is no stranger to a life of crime, with a lengthy rap sheet filled with arrests for burglaries, dealing in stolen property, fraud and the illegal use of credit cards. For those crimes, Long spent two years in state prison, having been released in March 2015.
He is currently being held without bond in the Lee County Jail.
