Mrs Kimborough was a wonderful woman and I am so upset there are no services being held in honor of her life. Her family and friends should know how wonderful she was. At 95 years of age she was still very active and as smart as a whip. She would come to the library every Friday morning, early, just to teach my children Spanish. She never missed and so our hearts were weighed when we showed on May 20 and Mrs Kimborough did not. We developed a great love and respect for her. She was so pleasant and patient with us each week. She would graciously thank us for coming when it was her that was blessing us. We never understood that she was alone. She ended up teaching us lessons far deeper than Spanish. Thank you Nina Kimborough….and I will sign off with words you used to leave us with after our Friday mornings….”Vious con Dios” (Go with God)
Love, Mary Jane, Seth and Scout Williams.
Nina Kimbrough was a wonderful caring and compassionate lady.
She loved to help the people of Lehigh who were down on their luck.
She helped many people from our ‘Helping Hands Ministry’. Every month she and I visited for several hours. She helped a man who had no money to get prescriptions, gas to get to the doctor or electric for his house. She blessed him for over 2 years. She helped many children from the Helping HAnds Ministry. A young lady, Senior in High School, several small children who needed clothes for shcool. This is just a small example of her generosity in helping so many people.
Her favorite color was purple and I used to kid her about the lady in purple. Whenever she came to church, she wore purple.
She helped so many people to speak English. She helped several people to become citizens of the United States.
Christmas time was her favorite holiday. I always called her ‘our angel’ because she gave so much of herself to help others. All of her good deedss were to be unknown to her recipients.
Several years ago, I was employed by another church and she and I became friends. When I came to my current church, we continued our friendship.
Nina always saw the glass half full not half empty.
Nina, someday we will continue to have those chats.
You will be missed by so many people.
You truly are an angel.
Much love,
