Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help tracking down an unknown male, and the silver Nissan he was driving, after a verbal altercation turned violent yesterday afternoon.
The victim, who is employed by J&W tow truck company, pulled into the Old Fashion Auto, located at 1209 Homestead Road in Lehigh just after 5 p.m. on Monday, May 16. As he was unloading a vehicle from his truck, an unknown Hispanic male became agitated because he felt the driver was blocking the driveway. The two men argued for a short time, leading to the suspect pulling out a semi-automatic handgun and shooting the driver once, causing a non-fatal injury. The suspect fled eastbound on Homestead Road in a newer model silver Nissan, equipped with chrome rims and a black top. There was also an unknown female in the passenger side seat.
