Two incidents in a string of shootings in a Lehigh Acres neighborhood off SR-82 may be connected.
The shooting in the 170 block of Meadow occurred at 7:09 p.m., said Capt. Todd Garrison, commander of the east district for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
An injured man, identified by family and friends was Terrence Braxton, was taken to a local hospital. Lee Memorial officials said Braxton was not listed on their directory. Lehigh Regional Hospital also said he was not listed as a patient.
“People just need to put down the guns and learn to find a way to solve their problems without using guns… end the violence all together,” said Dameon Bonner.
Someone who lives at the home was transported to the hospital as deputies surrounded the area with crime scene tape. A neighbor tells us a family lives there with three children.
The owner of a vehicle shot at Monday on the same street is listed as living at the home in an official report.
In that incident, three women in the car reported seeing someone along the road when the person fired several shots at their vehicle, shattering their window.
In a third shooting early Sunday morning, a car on SR-82 headed to Fort Myers was hit by a bullet. Two people inside the car heard the noise and later discovered the bullet, lodged in their trunk.
Neighbors fed up said Dameon Bonner, he was outside cooking dinner Tuesday evening when he heard about 15 gunshots.
Thank God criminals don’t practice there shots at the gun range. Those holes in that garage door are all over the place.
