On Thursday, March 3, 2016, Lee County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit Detectives arrested a Lehigh Acres pair responsible for using a hand held stun gun on four children as a form of discipline and charged them with Cruelty Toward a Child.
According to the investigation, Department of Children and Families received a report via the Florida Abuse Hotline in reference to child abuse. It was learned four children were being punished by means of a stun gun.
The investigation revealed Joshua Pierre Louis (DOB 03/18/87) and Roxanne Paduani (DOB 09/17/82) did in fact own a stun gun and they were using it as a tool to deter the children from misbehaving. The stun gun inflicted pain compliance on the children and left visible marks on two of the children.
Both Louis and Paduani were arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.
