
Mark Tracy, of Artful Gardens, was guest speaker for this past week’s Lehigh Acres Kiwanis Club breakfast meeting. Mr. Tracy started Artful Gardens, a 31 acre special park, just west of Lehigh Acres in Buckingham, for autistic and special needs children and adults. The mission of this non-profit is to provide life and job skills in a safe and nurturing environment for these special people. This park has botanical gardens filled with flora, playground and picnic areas offers special needs children and adults activities of potting plants, painting, socially interactive games and nature trails, besides training in life skills.
Kiwanis Lehigh Breakfast Meetings are held at Hope Hospice Community Room each Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. Our Lehigh Acres Kiwanis supports several Little League teams,many student programs in Lee County besides providing several student scholarships annually and many other philanthropic activities.
