Tornado Watch Until 5 P.M.

This morning begins with rain across portions of southwest Florida. A few t-storms will be possible through the morning, with an increasing chance for strong to severe storms from late morning through the afternoon. Damaging winds, lightning, heavy rain, and one or two brief tornadoes are possible.

Winds will be strong through Friday with gusts over 30 mph possible. High temperatures will be in the 70’s. Any rain and storms are expected to end by around 6pm Friday evening and drier air will filter in.

Areas of fog are likely on Saturday morning, but partial sunshine is expected through Saturday afternoon with highs in the mid 70’s.

Late Saturday through early Sunday another front will move across the gulf and approach southwest Florida, bringing another round of rain and thunderstorms. Sunday will be another windy day with gusts over 30 mph.

Currently Homestead Rd by Sheriff Office is flooded, Beth Stacey Rd is flooded …. tree branches and palm fronds in road ways ….. be careful out there.
