Update 10/20/2015 2:00 p.m.
According to NBC2, The girl, identified as Armiya Robinson, was shot in the stomach and transported to an area hospital before being transferred to Tampa Regional Hospital, according to the child’s grandmother.
Her grandmother said she underwent surgery and is doing well. She is expected to stay in the hospital for the next 5-10 days as she recovers.

Update from LCSO 10/20/2015 11:47 a.m..
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred at 554 Alabama Rd, Lehigh Acres. A two year old child was shot and was transported to Tampa Regional Hospital.
The shooting appears to be accidental. The investigation is ongoing.

10/19/2015 9:47 p.m. At this time the crime scene is taped off one person has been shot and that person has been airlifted to Tampa General Hospital children’s trauma unit.
LCSO detectives are at crime scene and at this time Lee County Sheriff’s Office is being closed lip about the ongoing investigation at the house on the 500 of Alabama Road south.
