Criminal Couple Accused Of Stealing From Hospitalized Veteran

Hannah Waterman

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help tracking down two individuals accused of stealing a 2001 Jaguar, along with television sets from the home of a Fort Myers man recuperating in a VA hospital.

Last Saturday, September 26, Hannah Waterman asked to borrow a 2001 light green Jaguar, which belonged to her friend’s mother.  The woman agreed, on the condition that the car would be returned by 6 p.m. that evening to her son’s home.  Waterman, however, never brought the car back.  The next morning, the victim’s mother returned to her son’s residence, and the car was still nowhere to be found.  When she entered her son’s home, she immediately noticed that his flat screen television sets were missing, and in its place was an explicit, derogatory message written in purple marker or lipstick.  Some of the items stolen from the home were pawned earlier this week by Waterman’s boyfriend, Matthew Christiansen.   Now, this criminal couple faces multiple felony charges including grand theft, grand theft auto and dealing in stolen property.  Both individuals have criminal histories of drug use and abuse, as well as theft.  Christiansen is a registered convicted felon, with 17 previous arrests under his belt, and Waterman has five local bookings to her name.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Christiansen or Waterman is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
