A car fire had led to the discovery of a body inside the vehicle.
Neighbors living near Naples Avenue South and Venetia Drive North noticed the vehicle on fire Monday evening.
The Lehigh Acres Fire Department confirmed they went to the scene to extinguish the fire yesterday.
Lee County Sheriff deputies were on the scene as late as Tuesday afternoon, continuing the investigation.
The State Fire Marshal confirmed they are investigating the fire but did not offer any additional information.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office called it an active investigation.
