Is Fox 4’s Report on Crime
Effecting Real Estate Correct in Lehigh Acres?

On August 12, 2015 Fox 4 reported (click here to see video) states Lehigh Acres housing drop due to crime. The story is quoted say “Builders and real estate agents say there is a disturbing trend in Lehigh and fear the growing murder rate is to blame.”

But now other real estate agents and brokers say that it’s not true.

Nathan Baschieri one of the owners at Market America Realty Services in Lehigh Acres who filmed and put together this 12 min video below, this video calls out Fox 4’s numbers to be misleading and or false.

 

Baschieri said, “We tried to reach out Fox 4 but refused to response to us.” So we made the video to get the truth out.

The Lehigh Acres Gazette also tried to reach out to Fox 4 for comment.

  1. We have been in Lehigh acres 9 yrs this month –I don’t appreciate negative comments,of course !!
    It is not uncommon for so much crime to happen elsewhere & get transferred to our community, whether it be for “dump off”,purposes or to think that Lehigh Acres is an “easy target”!
    I am so impressed with our Sheriff Mike Scott & all the deputies in their scouting out & solving crime !!
    We are so blessed in that department !!!
    I would love to see the TV commercial, again, & be played frequently, where Sherriff Mike Scott invites all those interested in doing drugs , crime etc. to come on over to Lehigh Acres,as he has just the accommodations for them — which he then slams the jail door !!
    So “smart & impressive” !!!
    Just a thought, when everyone speaks positive & upbeat about our community , it becomes as attractive as it should be,not only for the residents who call Lehigh Acres home, but to surrounding communities as well !!
    “LA ” is place to be proud of !!!

  2. Concur. We are better served with facts, not fiction. Fox 4 should be proud of Lehigh as they get viewers to view their station.
    The crime in the areas where most of the FOX 4 reporters live need a closer look(look at your area before you look at others).
    The residents of Lehigh Acres are proud to be here, and it has been growing continuously….real estate is good, we live in an open environment.
