During the meeting the commissioners refuse to apologize for the unprofessionalism of Chief John Wayne during the public hearing on May 26, 2015.
Commissioner Carter said, “Chief Wayne acted unprofessional during the meeting.”
Commissioner and Chairman Becker said, “I’m somewhat to blame, but we did the best we could.”
Commissioner Smith was also upset about Chief John Wayne’s lack of professionalism.
Commissioner Kruse said, “I take written complaints of the citizens seriously they are our bosses.”
Commissioner Adams had no real comment on this issue.
But Fire Commissioner’s Adams, Kruse and Becker voted to close the complaint without any further investigation.
These are the same three commissioners that keep on voting for the fire assessment and every single new piece of equipment without any justification.
I attended the meeting where the people hired to explain the assessment to the public. At the opening Becker stated that they the would explain the assessment that we will vote “Yes”on.At this point I yelled NO. After that he would not call on me for a question.I left early spotting a set up.We need to get him out of there
Only a vigorous and hopefully broad-based coalition of local property owners and/or business people, using all available legal means including a lawsuit against the Lehigh Acres Board of Fire Commissioners, can be successful in revoking this shocking 300-400% (!!!) increase in local fire assessments. For any interested parties – please feel free to contact me (mmskoric@yahoo.com) for possible coordination of legal activity which has already been set in motion.
