Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help tracking down a man already arrested once this week for five counts of armed robbery, who is now wanted for a sixth similar crime.
A warrant was issued last night for the arrest of Jauron Bryan, DOB 3/25/94, in connection with the armed robbery at the Lehigh Acres Wal Mart, located at 2523 Lee Boulevard, last Saturday night. This latest charge comes on the heels of five similar charges for which he was arrested late Tuesday night. Robbery detectives say Bryan’s crime spree began on March 10th when he held up the Advance Auto Parts store located at 5640 8th Street SW in Lehigh Advance. At approximately 8:00 p.m., a male, later identified as Jauron Bryan, entered the store. As other customers were receiving assistance, Bryan walked around the store for several minutes. When an employee tried to assist him, Bryan drew a handgun, pointed it at the employee and demanded cash from the register. Bryan then fled the store.
In April, four more Lehigh Acres businesses were hit with armed robberies. Each time, the suspect asked for assistance before drawing a gun and demanding money and items from store personnel, even stealing money and jewelry from innocent customers. The suspect did not bother to conceal his face in any of the robberies.
As robbery detectives followed up on leads, an anonymous tip came in to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers identifying Jauron Bryan as a possible suspect. Detectives showed photo lineups to witnesses, many of whom were able to identify Bryan as the person that committed the armed robberies. As additional information and evidence was uncovered, detectives located and subsequently arrested Bryan for the five armed robberies. Detectives say Bryan’s take at the robberies was approximately $10,000 cash, along with phones and jewelry.
Although Bryan was jailed for those charges Tuesday night, he posted bond 23 hours later and was released from law enforcement’s custody late Wednesday night. Bryan had been a person of interest in the Wal Mart robbery, and now he is formally wanted in connection with that crime. Bryan was last known to be living in Lehigh Acres, and was previously arrested in March for the possession of cocaine and drug equipment.
