Deputies said the money center in a Walmart was robbed Saturday afternoon.
A Lehigh Acres Gazette News crew on scene said there were at least two Lee County Sheriff’s deputies and a detective’s car on scene. The robbery happened at the Walmart on Lee Boulevard, near Sunshine Boulevard North. The store remained open, but the money center was roped off with police tape.
LCSO was using a helicopter and it was flying over the Walmart several times.
One store employee, who did not identify themselves, said the suspect was armed. The lehigh Acres Gazette working to confirm that with deputies on scene.
