Three people were taken to the hospital after two pickup trucks crashed in Lehigh Acres Wednesday morning.
The pickup trucks were both heading eastbound on Joel Boulevard near Joel Way when the crash happened.
One of the trucks rolled over, trapping the two occupants, according to Lee County Sheriff Office. Lehigh Acres Firefighters had to cut out the windshield of the truck to get them out.
The other truck, which had one occupant, ended up slamming into a power pole, causing it to snap. According to witness these driver was walking around when Lehigh Fire arrived on scene.
All three people were taken to local hospitals. LCEC is expected to be on scene for some time replacing the damaged power pole, which may cause some traffic issues on Joel Boulevard.
