Lehigh Acres Fire Dept responded to pickup truck fire on Monday night on East 17th Street at McArthur Avenue in Lehigh Acres.
The driver received severe burns to his entire body and was transported by ambulance to Lee Memorial Trauma Center as a trauma alert.
According to eyewitness reports the driver was able to crawl out of the truck and a resident gave him aid until the fire department arrived.
