Pregnant Woman Injured In Crash Around 7pm
A pregnant woman was transported to the hospital after a serious crash in Sunday evening.
The crash happened just after 7 p.m. at the intersection of Joel Boulevard and David Avenue. The woman was driving a small white truck when she was hit by a silver pickup truck towing a boat, according to a witness on the scene.
The woman, who is 7 months pregnant, had to be extricated by Lehigh Acres firefighters with the Jaws of Life. She was trauma alerted to Lee Memorial Hospital.
The FHP arrested the driver of the silver pickup truck on scene on suspicion of drunk driving.
