Lamotta’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

In 1978 the La motta’s family moved from New-York to the sunshine state of Florida where they opened one of the 1st Italian Restaurants in Fort Myers.They have been in business for over 36 years and the customers seem to enjoy there fresh made daily authentic Italian style dishes. Throughout these many years customers witnessed restaurants, people, and stores that have come and gone But not  La motta’s  they stand strong.

They are a family owned and operated  business with freshly prepared food on location not frozen like others. I met Chef Carmelo who explained the process and the guaranteed freshness of the dishes. Signature Appetizers, Entrées and Desserts are there  Meatball lollipop pops, lobster in clam sauce and there delicious cannoli that’s known all over southwest Florida.

In recent years they have become involved in supporting charitable events such as the “Harry Chapin Food Bank”  in which we collected canned goods,  donated soup for the “Empty Bowls”” event, and donated a percentage of proceeds for “Dine Out for Hunger”.  Also, they have joined with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer in which they donated a percentage of one night profits.  They also participated in the “Slice of Hope” breast cancer event, held at there  restaurant.  La Motta’s Restaurant enjoys  giving back to the community and helping such needed foundations.

Today they our proud to be one of the few remaining, family-owned Italian restaurants in Lee County. La Motta’s has available seating  for 150 guest. NO gratuity, its feels like eating with mom and pop at the family’s table. All Dishes and Desserts are prepared on location with the best quality ingredients. I got a chance to meet the chef Carmelo and he explained its always busy and always ready to help you plan that big event, Either its your birthday, anniversary, wedding or office party they accommodate for it all.
