Just more than 200 general-admission tickets remain for the FGCU men’s basketball team’s Atlantic Sun Conference game on Saturday at 7 p.m. against in-state foe Jacksonville University at Alico Arena.
Fans can purchase tickets online at FGCUAthletics.com/Tickets or by clicking here, visiting the Alico Arena Ticket Office (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) or over the phone by calling 239-590-7145. All general-admission seating is $10. Like the A-Sun opener last Saturday evening at The Nest, the game is expected to be another standing-room-only sellout, so fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.
FGCU has sold out 17 of its last 24 games, and seven of its eight home contests this year have had crowds of more than 4,000 (capacity: 4,333 and 300 standing-room-only). Dating back to the start of the 2012-13 season, the Eagles are 37-4 inside the friendly confines of The Nest.
The Green and Blue opened its regular-season A-Sun title defense last week with a dominant 72-50 victory over Stetson before dropping a tough decision at hot-shooting North FloridaWednesday in a matchup of the top-two teams in the preseason league poll. The Eagles are 11-7 and ranked No. 20 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 Poll, a poll it has been showcased in throughout all but one week of the non-conference season.
Jacksonville (7-12, 1-1 A-Sun) got its first conference win of the season at home over StetsonWednesday night, 71-69.
