A Lehigh Acres family on 45th Street in Lehigh Acres was jolted after their boat caught fire Monday afternoon.
The family’s father suffered several burns and was sent to the hospital by the Lehigh Acres Fire Dept.
Witnesses believe the fire likely started because they were charging the boat’s battery and changing the fuel filter.
According to a family friend the fire started below the lower deck of the boat.
