Lehigh Acres Firefighters Break County Laws Again

File Photo

Currently Lehigh Acres Firefighter Union have been placing signs thoughout Lehigh Acres without the property owners permission or placing signage in the county right of ways which is against the law.

One property owner is giving the union into 5 pm today to remove the signs or face action from his attorney. The owner stated to the Lehigh Acres Gazette, if we remove the signage, the fire union will not get it back period!

Lee County Commissioner Mann’s office has also received multitude of complaints about signage in the right of ways in Lehigh Acres including large signs on Homestead Rd. They are sending Code Enforcement to remove the signage immediately.

  1. It has been of grave concern to the residents/citizens of Lehigh Acres that the Fire District will do whatever it takes to get the proposed Special Fire Assessment Fees passes even if they have to litter Lehigh with signs. The signs need to be immediately taken down. I just wonder if the county code enforcement will issue a ticket/fine to the fire department. Just a reminder, the department is not up for election….they did not pay a fee to be elected…so the signs must go now.
Do you know that the fire department folks get free coffee and some snacks from the Circle K gas station, yes, another something everyone else must pay for.
    Jones…..No Increased/New Taxes

    1. are all the politicians breaking the law also with the whole country inundated with “signs” in public places – on occasion, I have seen firemen stopping for lunch (some think they shouldn’t eat on duty) and have paid for their lunch just as I have for some police and men and women in uniform just as a way to say thanks for a thankless job they preform in providing a service to help keep our citizens safe and return some form of order to a bad situation – hope I didn’t make everyone else pay for it somehow??

  2. These scummers were out on the corner of Lee and Gunnery pushing their agenda last weekend I think it was. A large “vote yes on fire assessment” Sign is on a fence close to the fire department on gunnery rd. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are trying to buy votes….”are you registered to vote?? I’ll buy you a beer at mugs and jugs if you vote yes on the fire assessment”. Haha!

  3. I will get a 1.7% pay raise this year,They get $114,000 in pay and bennys. They can afford to buy the beer
