Florida Governmental Utility Authority Issues a Forced Main Sewer Break Advisory for Lehigh Acres System Customers.
(Lehigh Acres) The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) has issued a Sewer Break Advisory Notice in the FGUA Lehigh Acres System. Customers should not experience any interruption of service. This is a 12 inch sewer force main break that occurred at approximately 4PM at the intersection of Homestead Road and Alabama Road in Lehigh Acres, FL.
The cause of the break has not yet been determined. Service crews are on site assessing the damage to the pipe. Due to the location of the break, repairs are anticipated to take 8-10 hrs. Upon completion of repairs, a report will be prepared by the System Operator and submitted to the Department of Environmental Protection.
