After fighting with the Florida Secretary of State to put him on the ballot, Larry Aguilar had his day in court.
The judge denied his request.
Larry Aguilar wanted to be an alternative to incumbent Matt Caldwell for the State Representative District 79 seat.
His filing papers, however, weren’t submitted on time according to a judge in Tallahassee.
The Secretary of State showed up in court with a host of sworn affidavits to contradict Aguilar’s evidence.
The judge expressed his frustration and sympathy for Aguilar but ultimately sided with the state.
