23rd Street SW and Gunnery Road: Lee County DOT will be extending the left turn lane on 23rd Street SW at Gunnery Road. The work will begin on Monday, August 11, 2014. A posted detour will re-route east bound traffic at Floyd Avenue. The west bound traffic will be shifted and may have intermittent lane closures. All closures and detours will be between the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This project is expected to be completed by October, 2014.
Beth Stacey – Business Way – Ridgecrest Street: Lee County is constructing a roundabout at Beth Stacey, Business Way and Ridgecrest Street in Lehigh Acres. There will be periodic lane closures during off peak times and flaggers will be present to control traffic through the work area. During some construction operations, detours will be posted to direct traffic around the intersection. Expected completion is November, 2014.
