The UF/IFAS Extension office is offering an eight-session Grow a Gardener workshop on edible gardening taught by Lee County Master Gardeners. Sessions include soil, seeds, water, worms/composting, plant parts, propagation, insects, and veggie identification. This program is appropriate for all ages. The workshop will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Mondays beginning Sept. 15 at the Veterans Park Recreation Center, 55 Homestead Road South, Lehigh Acres. There will be no class Oct. 20 and Nov. 10.
