Mary Patricia Dettmer, 81, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, passed away May 3, 2014. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Baron Frank DuShane and Era Dove DuShane.
She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. Mary is survived by her son, James R. Dettmer, daughter in law, Mary Dettmer; granddaughters, Connie and Emily.
Mary was a swimnastics instructor in Chicago working with the handicapped and the elderly.
She was not judgmental of anyone, always thinking the best of others. Mary had the ability to “walk in others shoes” being able to understand their situation and interpret their needs.
Mary will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
