Sunday afternoon Boy Scout Troop 11 held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor at Christ United Methodist Church.
Alex S. Nalewaik and Dallas A. Johnson became Troup 11’s newest Eagle Scouts.
One of the major items to become an Eagle Scout is a project: Alex’s Eagle Project benefitted Koreshan State Historic Site. Alex designed, built and installed 22 concrete trail markers along a newly established nature trail in the park.
Dallas’ Eagle Project benefitted Wild Turkey Strand Preserve in Lehigh Acres. Dallas organized a team to clear invasive grasses from a 5 acre site in the preserve. Then he returned with the team and replanted Florida grasses and wildflowers.
