On behalf of the Business Issues Task Force of the Horizon Council and Florida Gulf Coast University, we would like to invite your participation in our effort to identify and address problems currently facing small businesses in Lee County. Working with FGCU and the various Chambers of Commerce, the Business Issues Task Force views this effort as one of its major initiatives for the 2014 calendar year.
The first part of the Horizon Council’s efforts is to conduct a survey of small businesses, which you can access through our Survey’s Link. This survey was developed through the Regional Economic Research Institute at the Lutgert College of Business at FGCU, and its purpose is to obtain a better understanding of the issues that are limiting small business growth and development in Lee County.
Upon receipt of the completed surveys, the responses will be evaluated and analyzed to assess what financial, infrastructure, geographical, and other impediments to small business development exist in Lee County. After that, our Task Force will work with the various Chambers to identify and implement solutions to the extent possible. We will communicate the results of this survey with our community partners so that you can see the results of your participation.
On behalf of the Business Issues Task Force of the Horizon Council we would like to thank you, in advance, for your participation in this survey.
