Although this event is hosted annually, this year Dr. El-Gendy and his staff are celebrating the continued success of their Lung Nodule Clinic. Included in their services is a promising new approach for early lung cancer detection called electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy (ENB); the first in Lee county. In addition to ENB, a promising new treatment approach, Bronchial Thermoplasty, for patients with severe Asthma.
The Chest Institute is a non for profit organization that is dedicated to early lung cancer detection. The Institute is investing in research and education to find the latest technologies available to detect lung cancer as early as possible. It also supports the indigent patients who do not have insurance and are unable to pay for their own care.
