The East Zone finalists for the district’s annual Golden Apple Awards. The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools hands out the awards every year to six teachers who go above and beyond. Marshall Bower the foundation’s president and CEO got out of the office Tuesday and made the rounds to surprise eight of the 30 finalists there were nearly 3,000 nominations.
