LCSO investigators say a fight outside his Lehigh Acres home led to the death of Dana Thomas Stump on Saturday morning.
The second man involved was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators are determining whether they will pursue charges against him. The sheriff’s office has not released the man’s name.
Deputies responded to home on Wyoming Road in Lehigh Acres just after midnight Saturday, where they found a body of Stump in a pool of blood.
Stump appeared to have been beaten to death in front of his home.
The sheriff’s office has not released how Stump died, or what prompted Saturday morning’s fight. The medical examiner’s autopsy report has not been released.
