Barbara B. Mann Dies at 100

Barbara B. Mann

Barbara B. Mann has passed away at the age of 100.

Mann was very well-known in the community as Lee County’s leading lady of the arts.

She was instrumental in the founding of almost every arts organization in Lee County.

The Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall was named after her. It was build back in the 1980s after her son , current county commissioner Frank Mann, lobbied to have it built.

Over the last six decades, Barbara B. Mann helped bring countless shows to the area and expanded the theatre culture immensely in Southwest Florida.

Mann is also survived by her son, George Mann, Jr.,  and numerous grandchildren
