Dean McNew night at Lehigh Senior High School on Tuesday, November 26. Lehigh Senior will be playing Riverdale in a boys/girls double header beginning with freshman playing at 2:30p.m. , followed by boys and girls JV games and then the girls and boys varsity. What an exciting day and night of basketball LSHS…you get to see all of our LSNS teams play on the same day and help support the Dean McNew athletic scholarship program.
The first winner of the Dean McNew athletic scholarship program was Kathi Whitfield. Lehigh Senior High has partnered with Lehigh Kiwanis every year to give this $8,000 scholarship to a Lehigh senior student-athlete in memory of Lehigh basketball coach Dawn McNew’s late husband Dean McNew. Whitfield is a member of the National Honor Society and has a weighted 4.50 GPA and is in the first graduating class of Lehigh’s Cambridge program.
