Mr. Bland and Mrs. Moody both science teachers at East Lee County HS requested assistance through the schools advisory board (SAC) for a refrigerator freezer. The Refrigerator would be used to Increase labs in chemistry and environmental sciences. According to Bland, Chemistry and Environmental Science classes needed a refrigerator with freezer to keep chemicals and certain specimens/supplies cold for our labs. With a refrigerator freezer we will have access to ice specimens which we currently do not have that will expand our repertoire.
A member of the SAC committee reached out and made a request to Rick Anglickis and Damon Shelor of the Lehigh Acres Kiwanis Club to donate a good used refrigerator freezer to the science department. The request was approved by the club.
The members of the SAC committee would like to thank the Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres for this gift to the school in which will increase the implementation of hands on science labs which will also increase the reading, writing, and vocabulary focus emphasis on literary analysis and informational text required to complete the labs.
