Breakfast At The Beach: @FGCU_MBB Set To Host Hartford

The FGCU men’s basketball team opens the home portion of its 2013-14 schedule with a highly-anticipated 7 a.m. game on Tuesday against Hartford which will air nationally on ESPN2 as part of the network’s 24-Hour Tipoff Marathon.

Doors open at 6 a.m., with a tailgate right outside the arena set to begin at 5:30 a.m. featuring nine different food and drink vendors offering free products ranging from pancakes to burritos and coffee to Red Bull.

Mark Jones and LaPhonso Ellis will have the call for ESPN2 as the game will be the first home contest in program history televised on national TV. Fans are encouraged to white out Alico Arena, and each seat will have a commemorative Breakfast at the Beach T-shirt on it upon arrival. As of 7 p.m. Monday, standing-room only tickets remained and can be picked up at the Ticket Office beginning at 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
