Lehigh Raiders Have
Qualified For Postseason Play

Lehigh Raiders just completed its most successful of its 30 seasons as four Division 2 competitive teams have qualified for postseason play, the most in one year in program history.

Division 2 has 10 teams and the top four teams qualify for playoffs. The Lehigh Junior Pee-Wee and Pee-Wee teams achieved a 6-3 record giving them the fourth playoff seed.

The Junior Midget team went 8-1 and the Midget team went 9-0, giving them both the top seed in their respective levels.

The 2013 Midget team is the first undefeated team at that age group for Lehigh Acres. All four teams travel to Estero on Saturday, for the first round of the playoffs.

Junior Pee-wee will face Estero; Pee-Wee will face Immokalee; Junior Midget will face Clewiston; and the Midget team will face Cape Youth.

Raiders also had a successful showing at the Peace River Conference at Germain Arena on Oct. 20. The Junior Pee-Wee team took second and the Junior Midget and Midget teams took first in their categories. And the winners advance to the regional competition in Orlando in November to compete against teams from all over the Southeast United States.

Raiders also entered a non-competitive team that was chosen for exhibition at the National Pop Warner Competition in December at Disney.
