Local Lehigh Acres students continue to spread the anti-bullying message.
Wednesday, 5th graders at Sunshine Elementary School participated in a first of its kind event for the district. The entire class wore orange shirts for a “walk, run, rock and roll” event.
Students ran around the track and made signs to show support for bullying prevention. They also signed a pledge promising not to bully and to stand up for victims.
On Thursday the rest of the school will participate in a similar event.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and Wednesday was National Unity Day. If you suspect your child is the victim of a bully, contact their school.
