According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a shooting in Lehigh Acres near 3310 7th Street West.
The victim is a 16-year-old female. The victim had just gotten off a bus, but was shot a distance away from the bus.
She was shot in the lower leg — a non-life threatening injury. She was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.
According to Lee County School District, the victim is an East Lee County High School student.
The call came in at 2:06 p.m.
There are currently two active scenes. The other scene is one street over on 8th Street West.
Deputies are looking for a suspect.
