We’ve always had the talent, although some left, but today we’re happy with the coaching staff, McNeeley said. We have also improved the atmosphere, like new uniforms and winning, and the kids are staying.
Both Pete and Mike have been around now for a while and the two are on the same coaching page, teaching similar styles, McNeeley said.
The kids got a taste of winning last year and all came back with the attitude of wanting another shot at winning, McNeeley said.
When questioned about why the current board not willing not email game stats and photos to the Lehigh Acres Gazette, McNeeley had No Comment. Also asking about why the Publisher was banned for the Raider Facebook page the answer was No Comment.
The Lehigh Acres Gazette has reached out to parents and grandparents to provide photos and scores of the games and we thank them for stepping up when the board and their President refuse to.
McNeeley was very quick to point to community support for the program of his program. But wouldn’t there be greater support if the community only knew the basic information the where, when and after the fact photos and scores.
Lehigh Raiders will host LaBelle on Saturday, Sept. 21.
