Dr. Michael Tucker a main stay in the medical field in Lehigh Acres for the past 28 years has decided to return to private practice. Tucker is known for being a family doctor and for his wild annual charitable golf tournaments.
Tucker has been with the Lehigh Medical Group since 2008. According to his office nothing is changing – office is the same, phone number is the same, Dr. Tucker is the same, and it’s just the right time to break ties with Lehigh Medical Group.
Lehigh Medical Group is owned by Health Management Associates, Inc. (HMA) which also owns the Lehigh Regional Medical Center.
Currently HMA is tingled up in multiple law suits over stock and board members. And their CEO Gary D. Newsome has retired as of July 2013. It was also announced that Community Health Systems Inc. of Tennessee is looking to do a friendly merger between the companies.
Doc Tucker has been one of the best Doctors I’ve ever had with the health issues I’ve had. I’m so glad he’s going off on his own….Good Luck Dr Mike! (makes me wanna move back down there…lol)
Dr. Tucker is like a family member to me & my husband since 1990. We have watched his children grow into adults & Teresa his wife has been able to go back full time in helping him in his practice. He is genuine & truly cares for his patients. Way to go Doc!
Dr Tucker is not only my physician, but also my friend. He is always there for everyone and me since he came to Lehigh with Teresa with 3 little children, (the children now in College). He is one of the most knowledgeable physicians I have ever seen and I am no spring chicken. Caring, knowledgeable, expert, passionate,reliable, and always there!
