Is Mike Welch trying to raise your ECWCD taxes? Welch ran on platform of no new taxes but the elected water control district officials who he is a commissioner with will try to hammer out a budget agreement for 2014 at a public hearing Monday, Aug. 5.
The budget will be finalized at the Aug. 19 meeting. Both budget hearings begin at 6:30 p.m. in the district’s headquarters.
But will Welch listen to the people “no new taxes” or does Welch have is head up his ass as usual!

According to Welch’s election website, he “Fought against EVERY Tax Increase Effort Since Elected to Office” BUT WELCH chooses to take health insurance paid for by the taxpayers. *
According to Welch’s election website, he “Nixed plans for the purchase of an expensive “Taj Mahal” Complex for the District on the Taxpayer’s Dime,” BUT documents show that Welch voted to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars more for the new building. **
Welch also has stated in his mailers that he personally is against special interest, BUT Welsh took more than $5000 of special interest money for his campaign. ***
So is Welch a politician or just a lair? Can he be trusted with your tax dollars?
