Mr. Stephen Brown, Lee County Extension Director and Horticulture Program Leader Agent, will be speaking at the Lehigh Acres Edible Gardening Exchange about bananas, sugarcane, and hog plums on Thursday, July 18th. Meetings start promptly at 7 p.m. the third Thursday of the month inside Veterans Park Recreational Center which is located at 55 Homestead Road South in Lehigh Acres. The first meeting is FREE, then a $10 once-in-lifetime membership fee to the venue applies. Bring a plant, seeds, or a healthy drink or snack to share and get a FREE raffle ticket.
