Ronald McDonald House Charities’ “Pennies From the Heart” campaign enjoyed a successful year by collecting more than $125,000. The month long fundraising campaign included the sales of paper hearts at McDonald’s restaurants, as well as fundraisers and collection sites at Fifth Third bank branches, Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations, schools and businesses throughout Southwest Florida. The top Lee County School in collections this year was Sunshine Elementary School in Lehigh Acres.
