Heart of Lehigh Acres Award
A Mass of the Resurrection for Eugen Borosch, 74, an icon in Lehigh Acres, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 at the Blessed Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church at 13060 Palomino Lane, off of Daniels Parkway.
Borosch passed away on May 30 following a fall at his home the day before where he suffered an injury to his head. He was hospitalized at Lee Memorial Hospital where he died the following morning.
Borosch was the first winner of the Heart of Lehigh Acres Award, given to him by the Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to his wife, Conception (Conchita), he is survived by his daughter, Hildegard Goertz and son-in-in-law, Dominik Goertz, and a granddaughter.
